About the Author
John Ortberg is the senior pastor of Menlo Park Presbyterian Church (MPPC) in the San Francisco Bay Area. His bestselling books include Soul Keeping, Who Is This Man?, and If You Want to Walk on Water, You’ve Got to Get out of the Boat. John teaches around the world at conferences and churches, writes articles for Christianity Today and Leadership Journal, and is on the board of the Dallas Willard Center and Fuller Seminary. Scott Rubin has been on staff at Willow Creek Community Church for 18 years, and he's currently the director of Elevate, the junior high ministry at Willow Creek. Book Study that transforms.

This has been a great Book Study to do. The way the information is compiled makes it so that the participant doesn't have to read in order to follow along with the lessons. I don't know why they wouldn't WANT to read, it's a great book and resource, but in those weeks when time gets away from us and a skim is necessary, the DVD pulls out all the main points and you leave feeling changed by its powerful message.

This is a fantastic series for small groups. John Ortberg encourages each participant to self evaluate and examine their beliefs to become more aware of the why for their faith.
