MEGAN MASSACRE is a tattoo artist, model, and reality TV star of TLC's NY Ink and tattoo cover-up series America's Worst Tattoos. Best known for her incredible attention to detail and vibrant use of color, Megan’s artwork has been exhibited at galleries both inside and outside of the tattoo world. Megan resides in New York, where she is a partner at Grit N Glory, the city's first rock ’n’ roll lifestyle boutique and tattoo studio. Ink taken to a new level

This is my first adult coloring book and I must say that Megan Massacre has me addicted. As some of you might know Ms. Megan was on the show NY INK and I must say I loved her work then and I am now in love with her adult coloring book. Some people say " Well isn't it just like coloring in a regualr coloring book. And are you not over 40 don't you think that is a childish act." Um hell no! Coloring has always relaxed me, helped with my anxiety and has taken me way from reality just for a bit to an imaginary place where there is no evil or harm being done to another soul.
I will say that when I got the book there are a couple of images in there I can't bring myself to color. Nothing wrong with them but they hold a special meaning to me. Those images won't be colored until I go out, purchase a couple of these books, and then when they are colored I will frame them and place them throughout my home. The images I am talking about are the following: the heart with keys, the pitbull, the dreamcatcher, the owls, and the ship. The other images I know have meaning behind them for some of my siblings and cousins so these images will be colored, framed and given to them for Christmas gifts.
I am hoping that Megan Massacre will come out with another adult coloring book. Thank you Ms. Massacre for sharing your work with us so we can put our creative spin on them. Also thank you to Blogging For Books for offering this as a freebie.

Lovely

I seem to find myself collecting adult coloring books. Don't get me wrong I have a few Lisa Frank coloring books too but who doesn't. This book stood out to me, though. When my friend showed it to me I was on a mission to get it. I am so thankful blogging for books had a copy I could request. While flipping through the pages you could see how much work was put into the pieces. These make you want to go get a new tattoo ASAP. Megan is a very talented artist, to say the least. She has grown and perfected her art so much over the years and now you can have some of her art with you. Most of us will never be fortunate enough to have her tattoo us but we are all able to have her book and color our own art inspired by Megan.
The book itself is very well made and feels nice to the touch. It is not flimsy at all and is packed full of images to color. The pages are of nice quality, your ink will not leak through to the other side which is a big deal since most of us do color with pens or markers.
Overall I'm quite impressed and this is by far my favorite coloring book I have owned to date. I can't help but show everyone how amazing these images are. I'll be keeping my eye out for a volume 2.
